The Natural Paint Company All Purpose Undercoat has great adhesion to a wide range of substrates and imparts excellent gloss retention on final coats.  It is a durable and versatile water-based sealer, primer and undercoat all in one, based on natural raw materials. It is highly elastic, water-repellent and easy to sand. The Natural Paint Company Undercoat has very low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Suitable for interior and exterior use.

Uses
As a water-based undercoat for designed specifically for interior and exterior surfaces, including:
  • All Timber surfaces
  • Gib, chip board, plywood, plaster, wallpaper, mineral based surfaces
  • Most painted surfaces
  • Varnished surfaces
  • Glass and some Plastics
  • Metal surfaces (properly primed)

​Coverage
8 - 14m² per litre depending on absorbency of the substrate.

Ingredients
Water, titanium dioxide, modified linseed oil, talc, clay, silicic acid, cobalt octoate driers, preservatives permitted by the FDA.

“My son made me this pine table in a school wood-work lesson. It needed sealing and so I decided to first give it an initial coat of the Natural Paint Company’s All-Purpose Undercoat Paint.  I then painted it with The Natural Paint Company's Wallpaint - Cotton. I then sanded it for a ‘distressed’ look then candle-waxed it to seal the sanded areas.  Finally, I used The Natural Paint Company's Wall Paint - Lime Milkshake watered-down (to match my bedroom colours) and with a clean cloth, wiped over the entire piece until I had the colour and finish I wanted. It was so much fun and I feel confident that I can just rag another colour over it at any time to change the look.  I’m delighted to be able to use and enjoy something created by my son that now matches my décor. This is the first time I’ve done anything like this and I’m now keen to do more.”

  • Up to 1 Litre of product/s = $8.00
  • From 1 Litre up to and including 4 Litres = $13.00
  • Over 4 Litres up to and including 10 Litres = $18.00
  • Overnight courier to North Island 1 Litre up to and including 10 Litres = $30.00 (Non-Rural only)
  • Rural Charge = $7.00 per item (regardless of size)
  • Courier to Waiheke Island = corresponding size ticket + $20.00 (Waiheke Island Courier Charge per item)
  • Courier within Christchurch City (local area, Belfast, Templeton, Lyttelton) = $8.00 per item up to 10 Litres

Delivery is usually overnight within the South Island and 2-3 days for North Island.
Please add a further 2-3 days for rural delivery.

If your order is completed by 12pm, we will endeavour to ship your order that day, otherwise it will be shipped the following working day.
